Police are appealing for information after an assault in Hemel Hempstead. The incident occurred outside the Leverstock Green Cricket Club on Bedmond Road at around 2.06am on Saturday (26 July). It is reported that the victim, a man aged in his 40s, was assaulted and found unresponsive when colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service arrived. He suffered serious injuries as a result of the assault and was quickly taken to hospital where he currently remains with potentially life changing injuries. Three 17-year-old males and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. They are on police bail whilst enquiries continue. Detective Sergeant Stephen Mooney, who is investigating the incident, said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or has any information that may help our ongoing enquiries. “The venue was quite busy during the early hours of Saturday and we are keen to hear from anyone who was there.
